Here is my final illustration for this year, and it is of course my customary illustration for the coming year. As you may be aware, 2024 will be the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese Zodiac, so I present to you an ethereal forest dragon (and the maiden who they serve, as a bonus 😋).
Maybe 2024 will be a happy one, maybe it won’t, but let’s hope that at least it’ll be better than 2023 has been. 😊
A New Video Game Heroine Emerges: Kay Vess (“Star Wars Outlaws”)
I’m not a big fan of Ubisoft (or even Star Wars anymore for that matter), but this upcoming Star Wars video game by Ubisoft certainly has an interesting protagonist. Her name is Kay Vess. As for as I can tell, she’s a small-time crook in the vein of Jynn Erso (from Rogue One) or even, dare I say, a young Han Solo, who gets caught up in something really big (i.e. the Rebellion). Yes, it’s an overused trope in the Star Wars universe (the latest iteration of which is, I believe, Andor), but if Star Wars Outlaws (as the game is titled) lets you experience that galaxy far, far away in intricate detail, then it could be a lot of fun.
