Trailer for “The Last Jedi” Released!

I’ve been a huge Star Wars fan for almost my entire life, but I have to say that at the moment, my love for the franchise is at an all time low. Things seem to be going from bad to worse, in that galaxy far, far away. So to be honest I wasn’t exactly dying to see the full trailer for The Last Jedi, which was released today. What do I think about it, now that I’ve seen it? Not much, actually. I didn’t find it particularly interesting or exciting. The film does seem to have a very dark mood about it, which I think John Boyega (AKA Finn) remarked on not so long ago, but that may simply be due to the fact a lot of the shots in the trailer are in dark places. In any case, it may possibly end up being the darkest Star Wars film to date. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Teaser for “Star Wars Forces of Destiny” Released!

Star Wars Forces of Destiny is an upcoming series of animated shorts set in the Star Wars universe that focus primarily on its female stars. This teaser shows quite a number of the characters that will appear in it, such as Leia Organa (from the original trilogy) and Jyn Erso (from the latest Star Wars film Rogue One), but for me the character I’m most looking forward to seeing in action is Ahsoka Tano, my favourite female Star Wars character of all time.😃

New Fan Art: May the Fourth 2017

So here we are, another year, another Star Wars Day picture! The character I’ve chosen this time is a bit left of field, so I won’t name her, just to see if people can guess who she is. The costume she’s wearing (a version of Leia’s slave costume) is not a clue, but the character in the background is…  Oh, if you want to see the version without the slave costume, it’ll be on my pixiv gallery (on my DeviantArt gallery, only this version will be available).

Anyway, I hope all the Star Wars fans out there have a great May the fourth! Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!😊

“Star Wars Battlefront II” Trailer Released!

In The Last Jedi post I wrote earlier, I didn’t mention the fact that Star Wars Celebration is currently taking place at Orlando. That means that there’s quite a bit of Star Wars news coming out now. Some of it is of little interest to me (like the trailer for the fourth season of Star Wars Rebels), but I do like watching the trailers for Star Wars games, even if I’m not likely to ever play them. Anyway, this trailer for the second Star Wars Battlefront game by EA looks great! As you’d expect for a Battlefront title, there’s a heap of action. The focus of the trailer is on the Empire and it features what appears to be a female Special Forces officer. You can check it out below.

Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!😊

“The Last Jedi” Teaser Trailer Released!

This was released about half a day ago, so I imagine half the world has already seen it, but I always get excited by the release of a new Star Wars trailer and I always get the urge to write a short post about it.😊 Anyway, here it is, the first trailer for this year’s Star Wars film, The Last Jedi.

In Memoriam Carrie Fisher

Throne Room LeiaI’m sure everyone is aware that last week, at the end of 2016, Carrie Fisher passed away. Carrie Fisher was without a doubt a huge part of Star Wars and Star Wars has always been a big part of my life, so I really wanted to produce something to honour Ms Fisher and her iconic portrayal of Leia Organa, the princess from that amazing galaxy far, far away.

Carrie Fisher, as Princess Leia, had several outfits in the Star Wars films, the most famous of which was the gold metal bikini she wore in Return of the Jedi. I was young when RotJ came out and boy, that bikini was a real eye-opener!😀 But for this picture, I chose to depict her in the costume she wore at the end of A New Hope, in the medal presentation scene. I’m sure that most people would agree Ms Fisher not only looked fittingly regal and resplendent in that scene; she looked almost angelic.🙂

Farewell, Ms Fisher. You have left this world, but the light of your memory will continue to shine brightly for a long. long time.
