CAPCOM Releases Claire Redfield Biography Video!

CAPCOM just released this short biographical video about Claire Redfield, one of the chief protagonists of the Resident Evil video game franchise. I’m not exactly sure why they released this video, but it seems to be just a bit of a marketing boost for the Resident Evil 2 remake that was released at the start of this year. In any case, I think it’s a cool video. It has a spoiler warning at the beginning, but I didn’t think it divulged that much about the games Claire is in. For example, I myself have never played Resident Evil – Code: Veronica and the video didn’t really ruin anything for me.

Claire Redfield is a character I want to write a Featured Heroine post about in the future, but as I said above, I haven’t played Code: Veronica. So until I do, that post will unfortunately have to wait. Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!😊

Promised Town — 3D Animated Short

Promised Town 02A few days ago, I found out about Promised Town, a 3D animated short made by a Japanese artist IKEDA. The full title in Japanese is something like Imaginary 3D Battle Action Animation “Promised Town” (Japanese Ver.). If you like 3D anime, it’s definitely worth checking out.

“Yomawari: Night Alone” out in October from Steam

Sometime ago, when I first learned of the Japanese PSV game called Yomawari: Night Alone (夜廻 in Japanese), I thought it looked very interesting. But since I didn’t (and still don’t) own a PSV, I soon forgot about all about it. Today, though, I found out that in October it will be getting a Western release and not just for the PSV. It will be getting a Windows release as well, which I’m pretty happy about. You can check out the announcement trailer for it below.

From what I can gather, Yomawari: Night Alone is survival horror game, but with really cute graphics and a nice, slow pace. Steam is currently offering a Pitch Dark Edition (funnily enough, for the same price as the the regular edition) and it includes a digital art book and the original soundtrack. So, now I have something to look forward to in October. [^_^]

That’s all for now. Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!

Happy Star Wars Day!

Today is May the Fourth, the unofficial Star Wars day (I think Disney wants Force Friday to be the official one) and even though I already made a May the Fourth post earlier (for my annual May the Fourth illustration) I decided to make a second post, because I just came saw this very cool and amusing YouTube video. It combines two of my favourite things: Star Wars and BABYMETAL.

It’s great, isn’t it? Many thanks go to the person on the Reddit BABYMETAL thread who posted this. Anyway, that’s all for now. Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!

BABYMETAL Ad

I just came across this on Reddit. If I had seen it earlier I might have been able to work it into my earlier post, but now it gets its own post. It’s just a short ad BABYMETAL made especially for JB Hi-Fi, which is the store I ordered my copy of METAL RESISTANCE from. I’m glad they got it out to me so quickly! [^_^]

Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!

THE ONE — New song by BABYMETAL

Well, whattaya know? BABYMETAL have released another promo video from their soon-to-be-released album, this time for the epic power ballad titled THE ONE. Personally, it didn’t grab me instantly like KARATE did, but it’s still a nice, catchy song and it’ll probably grow on me. You can check it out for yourselves below.

Incidentally, I’ve decided I want to hear more of BABYMETAL, so I’ve gone ahead and ordered both of BABYMETAL’s albums (their self-titled debut album and their upcoming album, METAL RESISTANCE). I guess this means I’m well on the way to becoming one of their multitude of fans! [^_^]

Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!

KARATE — New song by BABYMETAL

I haven’t really taken much notice of BABYMETAL before (even though I subscribed to them on YouTube a while back), but I just watched the promo video for their latest single KARATE and I actually found it kind of cool and catchy. For those of you who haven’t seen it, you can check out the video below.

It appears that BABYMETAL will be emabarking on a new world tour soon, which will kick off on the 2nd of April at Wembley Stadium(!). I’m actually quite amazed at the success they’ve had. There are heaps of talented Japanese singers and musicians, but very few of them are well-known outside Japan. Then again, I guess they don’t really have anything really different to offer the world. BABYMETAL very cleverly came up with a novel approach to a somewhat niche genre.

Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!
