First Anniversary of “Night of the Werewolves”!

On April 13, 2019, I published my first book, Night of the Werewolves, so yesterday was its first anniversary! To commemorate this day, I drew a special illustration of Charlene, the protagonist of the book, facing off against the antagonist, who is a monstrous werewolf.

Night of the Werewolves is now available as a free download from Amazon and Kobo, so if you’re interested in reading it, please check it out. I’ll put links to both of these sites below. It’s also available as a softcover book from Lulu, but it’s a bit pricey, so I won’t bother putting a link to it.

  • To get Night of the Werewolves from Amazon US (free), click HERE.
  • To get Night of the Werewolves from Kobo US (free), click HERE.

On a side note, I’m thinking of making some Night of the Werewolves T-shirts available in the near future, but I’ll write another post specifically about this should it happen. Anyway, till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!😊

“Night of the Werewolves” Now Free from Amazon or Kobo!

I have some important news! It took a little while, but my webcomic Night of the Werewolves is now available as an eBook from Amazon for free! I was able to achieve this by following the advice of someone online, who said that if you made your book available on another website for free, you could ask Amazon to price match it, which is what Amazon did in this case. Of course, this means that Night of the Werewolves is also on another site, namely Kobo. Therefore you have a choice as to which website to download it from. They are essentially the same comic, but I did notice that the Amazon file is about twice the size of the Kobo file, so that may mean that the Amazon file is the better quality one, but I can’t say for sure.

OK, that was the important news. The other news is that Night of the Werewolves is now also available as a comic, from the print-on-demand publisher Lulu. The price is  $20.00 (in Australian currency), which is expensive for a story that only runs for 34 pages, but at this price my profit margin is less than $4. From a business viewpoint, it would’ve been better to make Night of the Werewolves a completely B&W comic, because then the price would’ve been a lot cheaper. However, the colour red is integral to the story and it would look bland without it. In any case, I seriously doubt I will make any sales on Lulu, so I’m happy to put this down as a learning experience for the next time I publish a comic.😊

Below, I will put links to the places where you can get Night of the Werewolves.

  • For the eBook from Amazon US (free), click HERE.
  • For the eBook from Kobo US (free), click HERE.
  • For the comic from Lulu ($20.00 in Australian currency), click HERE.

Oh, I should mention that now that Night of the Werewolves is a free eBook, it will no longer be available here on MoeDimension. Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!😊

New Web Comic: “Night of the Werewolves”

This a teaser post for a new web comic (the first, in fact) that I will be publishing here on Moe Dimension. As much as I enjoy making illustrations, the truth is my main passion is storytelling. The thing is, though, that I’ve struggled to find the best way to present my stories. In the past, I’ve tried writing novels and comics without much success. Therefore, this time I’ve decided to try my hand at a web comic.

When I say web comic, I am referring to something resembling the adventure comic strips that appeared in the newspapers of yesteryear, like The Phantom, for example. So this won’t be a gag-based web comic, but a narrative-based one. In other words, an illustrated story, told in short snippets. I think this format will suit me quite well, as it will make production more manageable, as well as allowing me to prioritise story over art. Anyway, I think that’s enough build-up.😄 Here is a promo image I’ve prepared for Night of the Werewolves.

As you may be able to guess, this will be a dark fantasy adventure, leaning towards horror. Accordingly, I will post the first strip of this web comic on this coming Friday, which is of course Friday the 13th. After that, I will attempt to post new strips as regularly as possible, but because this is the first time I’m trying this, I’m not sure how smoothly it will go. In any case, this will not be a long story: it’s main purpose is to test how doable a web comic is for me. If I decide it is doable, then my plan is to start working on a longer story.

So that’s about it for this teaser post. If your interest has been piqued, please come back to Moe Dimension on Friday, although there will probably be other posts in the meantime. Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!😊
