This is a teaser trailer for Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, a “CG anime series” by CAPCOM, which will be available on Netflix sometime in 2021. Unless CAPCOM is holding back a surprise or two, it looks pretty certain that this series will feature Resident Evil regulars Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy, both of who made their debut in Resident Evil 2. Personally, I think Leon gets way too much attention in the Resident Evil universe, but I’m glad Claire is getting another opportunity in the spotlight.😊
Claire looks somewhat older (as does Leon, of course), so it’s safe to say that Infinite Darkness takes place many years after the events of Raccoon City and around the time of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 or Resident Evil 6. Other than that, though, it’s difficult to determine what Infinite Darkness will be about; I can only assume it will be something in the vein of previous Resident Evil 3D animations (such as the film Resident Evil: Vendetta from 2017), although the focus appears to be on horror rather than action. It’ll be interesting to see what information the next trailer will provide us with.
I was worried I might not be able to get to see Resident Evil: Vendetta, as the cinema chain showing it here initially only had two screenings scheduled. But, for some reason, my local cinema increased the number of screenings to twice a day for at least a whole week! I’m happy that they did this, but I do wonder if they will do this again in the future for similar films; in total there were only five people in the cinema, two of whom came in half an hour into the movie. But now onto my thoughts on this film.
The 3d-animated film Biohazard: Vendetta (aka Resident Evil: Vendetta), was released last Saturday in Japan. I have absolutely no idea how it is faring at the box office, but I came across four new short promo clips for it on YouTube today. Apparently, they were used to promote the film on Twitter (or “Twetter”, as it says in the YouTube description for each clip).😋 Anyway, each one features a different character.
A new trailer for the upcoming Biohazard: Vendetta (aka Resident Evil: Vendetta) 3d-animated film has just come out. This film centres on the heroic trio of Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy and Rebecca Chambers, who must face off against yet another bloodthirsty horde of mutants unleashed by the new owner of not one, but two incredibly evil and powerful corporations. Yes, in the end it’s basically the same old Resident Evil plot, but this film does look like it’s going to be fun.
Biohazard: Vendetta is an upcoming Japanese CG animated film set in the Biohazard (AKA Resident Evil) universe. It looks like standard game-turned-movie fare: lots of action and very little plot, but the imagery is high-quality so it might be quite entertaining. The main characters will be Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy and Rebecca Chambers, although it looks as though poor Rebecca is going to be relegated to damsel-in-distress in this particular outing. You can check out the trailer below.
