Daily Heroine: Kathy

Today’s Daily Heroine is: Kathy from Animal Treasure Island, the 70s animated film from Japan. In the original Japanese version (which is titled Doubutsu Takarajima), she was voiced by Minori Matsushima. Unfortunately, I was unable to find out who voiced her in the English-dubbed version, which is the version I first saw as a kid. Kathy, a pretty yet feisty gun-toting pirate girl, is the first heroine I really fell in love with, and so she is the root of my lifelong admiration for heroines in general. If only she had appeared in other movies or an animated TV series. That would have undoubtedly made her my number one animated girl!😆

I’m always on the look out for new interesting and likeable heroines, so if you have a particular favourite, please tell me about her! Till tomorrow, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you.😊

New Fan Art: Pretty Little Pirate

I’ve uploaded an illustration (for mature people) of Kathy, from the 1971 Japanese animated film Animal Treasure Island, to my pixiv gallery. This is the fourth illustration I’ve drawn of Kathy, who is one of my all-time favourite cartoon characters. Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!😊

TC001OK, so here’s the first character to be featured in the new series of Miss Moe Dimension entries and she’s one of my all time favourite characters: Kathy, from the 1971 animated feature film Animal Treasure Island. As you can see, I prepared a special Miss Moe Dimension trading card for Kathy (and incidentally, I’ll be preparing one for all future Miss Moe Dimension entries). The bikini is my creation; in the film, she wears a blue dress and brown boots (see below). Continue reading
