This is the Official Teaser Trailer for Raya and the Last Dragon, a new film from Disney that is scheduled to be released in March next year, in the US at least. To be honest, I’ve never been a fan of Disney animated films. Apart from their stories being generally unoriginal, their heroines all seem very generic. They tend to look the same, act the same, and have a habit of spouting American colloquialisms. However, I have to admit that this film does look interesting.
As you can see, Raya will apparently feature a heroine in an Asian-inspired fantasy world undertaking an epic quest, which could be pretty cool. And if the music in this trailer is anything to go by, the soundtrack will be pretty cool, too. It still has colloquialisms, of course, but if the rest of the film is solid, I think I could put up with them.😊
It seems like ages since Disney announced that they were going to produce a seventh and final season of the popular cartoon The Clone Wars (which they unceremoniously dumped back in 2013), but we finally have an official trailer and a release date for it: February 21. It does look like an action-packed end to the series, with Ahsoka Tano playing a prominent role.
As you may know, I’m a big fan of Ahsoka, so I’ll be interested in seeing the seventh season at some point. Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you.😊
For the most part, I don’t like the direction Disney has taken Star Wars, my once dearest franchise. But I was happy that Disney XD put out this compilation on YouTube of what I assume are all of Ahsoka Tano’s scenes in Rebels (Disney’s Star Wars animated series that ended last year). As a big fan of Ahsoka, I’ve always been curious as to what she did on Rebels, but I had no desire to trudge through four seasons of it just to see mere glimpses of her here and there. I found this particular compilation to be quite entertaining, despite the fact that in my opinion the character models and animation in Rebels are inferior to those in Star Wars: The Clone Wars (from 2008). I guess it was simply great to see Ahsoka in action again.😁
Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!😊
Star Wars Forces of Destiny is an upcoming series of animated shorts set in the Star Wars universe that focus primarily on its female stars. This teaser shows quite a number of the characters that will appear in it, such as Leia Organa (from the original trilogy) and Jyn Erso (from the latest Star Wars film Rogue One), but for me the character I’m most looking forward to seeing in action is Ahsoka Tano, my favourite female Star Wars character of all time.😃
