Bumblebee, the latest film in the Transformers‘ franchise, has been out for a few days now. I myself actually went to see it about a week and a half ago, thanks again to one of my local cinemas having had advance screenings. But the fact that it’s taken me this long to write this post probably makes it obvious how I feel about this film; I didn’t like it. If you want to know why, read on. As always, there won’t be any major spoilers. Continue reading →
Yes, this is literally yesterday’s news, but hey, I got distracted by the Bumblebee trailer yesterday. Anyway, the sequel to 2014’s The Lego Movie was announced out of the blue a couple of weeks ago and now the first trailer is out. I’m a big fan of Lego and The Lego Movie was a whole heap of fun, so I’m really looking forward to being able to see the sequel, titled The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.😄
OK, when I first noticed the trailer for Bumblebee (the upcoming film from the Transformers franchise) on my YouTube feed yesterday, it did catch my eye, but I wasn’t terribly excited about it. I was eagerly awaiting the trailer for next year’s Lego movie, after all.😋 Well, I did get around to watching the Bumblebee trailer earlier today and I can now say that I am (cautiously) excited!
Star Wars Forces of Destiny is an upcoming series of animated shorts set in the Star Wars universe that focus primarily on its female stars. This teaser shows quite a number of the characters that will appear in it, such as Leia Organa (from the original trilogy) and Jyn Erso (from the latest Star Wars film Rogue One), but for me the character I’m most looking forward to seeing in action is Ahsoka Tano, my favourite female Star Wars character of all time.😃
Here in Australia, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in theaters in exactly one month from today, on Thursday December 15! And as you can see from the image above, I finally caved in and bought Lego set 75155 (Rebel U-wing Fighter), because I really, really wanted a Jyn Erso minifigure! I haven’t built the U-wing yet, though, and I don’t plan on building it until I work out where I can display it. But once I do build it, I’ll definitely upload some photos of it; it’s without a doubt one of the coolest Star Wars ships that I’ve seen in a very long time.😊
Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!
Lego have just released a cute little video on their YouTube channel to promote their Yellow Submarine set (which is based on the Beatles’ animated film of the same name, of course). You can check out the video below!
The set will be out on November 1. Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!
A trailer for the 2016 wave of Lego Dimensions sets has just been released and there’s plenty of cool stuff in it! You can check the trailer out below.
As someone who grew up in the 80s, I’m really excited by the Gremlins, The Goonies and E.T. sets. And although I couldn’t see it the trailer, there are reports that Knight Rider will also have a set. I hope this is true, because I absolutely loved Knight Rider as a kid. But I don’t know how many (if any) of these sets I would actually try to get: the Lego Dimensions sets are a bit pricey, after all. As a matter of fact, I still haven’t got the Back to the Future set from last year. Back to the Future is one of my favourite movies of all time.[^_^]
I’ll definitely be writing some follow-up posts once these sets are released, but for the time being, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!
