News: “Tristaria” Illustrated Novella Update 2

I have finished proofreading (and correcting) Tristaria Volume 1: Of Palantaros! This means that the February 1 release date is pretty much fixed. My only concern now is how smoothly the process for making a book available to the public will be. I’ve done it once before, but under slightly different circumstances, so I guess I’ll see what happens on Monday.😊

Oh, I promised a look at the interior of the book, so here it is…

Being an illustrated novella, Tristaria Volume 1: Of Palantaros, has a total of 36 monochrome illustrations through out it, like the one of Tristaria you can see above. Incidentally, this particular illustration is actually the very first illustration in the story, so I guess it’s kind of a sneak peek?.😄

Well, I guess the next post on Tristaria will be on Monday, when it will be officially released! So, bye till then!

News: “Tristaria” Illustrated Novella Update

Today I received the “author’s proof” of my illustrated novella Tristaria Volume 1: Of Palantaros, which I ordered from Lulu just under 2 weeks ago. I’ve only had a quick look through it, but I’m quite happy with it! I’ve ordered from Lulu before, so I know they produce quality books; the only real anxiety I had was about my data files. But apart from one little problem, the book appears to have turned out just as I expected.😄 Anyway, I took pictures of the front and back covers, which you can see below.

Although it may be hard to tell, Tristaria Volume 1: Of Palantaros is a large softcover book. It is A4 in size, which you may know is 21.0 x 29.7 cm (or 8.3 x 11.7 in) and is 56 pages long, although the pages are not numbered. The front cover is in full colour, but the interior is entirely in black and white (I will upload some photos of the interior at a later date).

Incidentally, you may have noticed that on the back cover, there is a dark black box around the image in the centre. This is probably due to the fact that the image was a png file with transparency; Lulu warns that transparency can cause problems in the printing. I will try to think of the best way to remedy this before I release the book for sale. And speaking of release…

At this point, I can confidently say that the release date for Tristaria Volume 1: Of Palantaros will be Monday, February 1! I think that this date will give me ample time to read the copy I have and correct any other errors I may come across. In any case, there will be more updates before the release date, so stay tuned!😊

News: “Tristaria” Illustrated Novella Announcement

I teased a new novella at the end of last year and now I am ready to officially announce it. The title of this novella is Tristaria Volume 1: Of Palantaros and it will (hopefully) be the first in a trilogy of standalone yet interconnected novellas. You can see an image of the cover below.

I have been working on Tristaria Volume 1: Of Palantaros for many months now and it is 99.9% complete, so I have ordered what is essentially a paid author’s proof from Lulu, which I should have in my hands before the end of January. Once I have checked the proof and corrected any errors that I may find, I expect to release Tristaria on Lulu and Amazon in early February. I will provide further details soon!😊

News: “Night of the Werewolves” no longer available on Amazon

I’ve removed my graphic novel Night of the Werewolves from Amazon. It’s been available for free on Amazon for over a year, but in the last few months, Amazon has twice made it not free, without bothering to inform me of this. The first time this happened, I was able to have it changed it back to being free pretty quickly. However, now that it’s happened a second time, they’re dragging their feet for some reason. Anyway, I got tired of waiting for their response and decided it was just easier to unpublish it. But never fear; if you’re interested in reading Night of the Werewolves, it is available from Kobo (for free, of course).😊

News: New Original Novella Out in Early 2021!

This year, apart from working on Princess Elycia and The Star-shaped Scar, I’ve also been working on a few other things, and one of those things is an original illustrated novella, which I plan to release early in 2021. The image you can see above is a cropped version of the cover for this novella, which I finished working on yesterday. And what, you may ask, will the title of this novella be? I will reveal that shortly, along with a few other details.😊
