The original drawing I did of Vignette Stonemoss (played by Cara Delevingne) from Carnival Row. which I used to produce the gag I posted a few minutes ago. Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!😊
This started off as just a rough sketch, which I decided to ink out. And then it occurred to me to make a gag with it. This gag features a character called Vignette Stonemoss (played by the lovely Cara Delevingne), from Amazon Prime’s original series titled Carnival Row. Carnival Row is dark fantasy set in an alternate Victorian-like world. It is visually stunning, with an impressive amount of effort put into world-building, but the plot is a little bit disappointing. The gag that I drew derives from the fact that although Vignette was once entrusted with protecting a library, she is hardly the librarian stereotype.😄
I’ll post the original textless illustration of Vignette shortly, so till then, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!😊
Yes, I still have to get back to working on Elycia, but I was recently inspired to start a new project, titled The Secret of the Star-shaped Scar (or Star-shaped Scar, for short). I’ve been working on the first part of this new project for the last few weeks and it’s just about done. So at the moment, it looks like I’ll be able to begin unleashing it some time next week.😄 “What is Star-shaped Scar about?”, you might ask. Well, I won’t reveal too much about it now, other than it will be a colour web comic. Anyway, stay tuned if you are interested. Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!😊
There is some sad news from Japan today. One of the offices of Kyoto Animation (KyoAni for short), a well-known Japanese animation production company, was the target of an arson attack. Details of the incident are still emerging, but at least one person has died and several dozen others were injured, some of them seriously. The perpetrator is in police custody.
I am a big fan of quite a few of the series produced by KyoAni,in particular. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions and Beyond the Boundary. In my opinion all of KyoAni‘s works are high-quality pieces of art that, without a doubt, brought a great deal of joy to a great number of people around the world, and so I offer my deepest condolences to those affected by this tragedy.
For a quite a long time now, I’ve been thinking about making my own customised Lego minifigures, especially ones of characters that are unlikely to ever become official minifigures. Well, I’ve finally gotten around to making my very first one: Tanya Serebryakova (Татьяна Серебрякова). Continue reading
