This illustration is inspired by both a dream I had, and an illustration by Margaret W. Tarrant. The dream was one where I was walking around what appeared to be a deserted village bathed in the light of the evening sun. It is one of the most beautiful dreams I can recall having. The illustration by Ms Tarrant is one that is titled Dream Ships and depicts a girl on a beach looking towards a pair of sailing vessels on the horizon. It is one of my favourite pieces of art. My illustration hardly does justice to either my dream or Dream Ships, but I think all in all it came out reasonably well.
