News: “Tristaria” Illustrated Novella Update

Today I received the “author’s proof” of my illustrated novella Tristaria Volume 1: Of Palantaros, which I ordered from Lulu just under 2 weeks ago. I’ve only had a quick look through it, but I’m quite happy with it! I’ve ordered from Lulu before, so I know they produce quality books; the only real anxiety I had was about my data files. But apart from one little problem, the book appears to have turned out just as I expected.😄 Anyway, I took pictures of the front and back covers, which you can see below.

Although it may be hard to tell, Tristaria Volume 1: Of Palantaros is a large softcover book. It is A4 in size, which you may know is 21.0 x 29.7 cm (or 8.3 x 11.7 in) and is 56 pages long, although the pages are not numbered. The front cover is in full colour, but the interior is entirely in black and white (I will upload some photos of the interior at a later date).

Incidentally, you may have noticed that on the back cover, there is a dark black box around the image in the centre. This is probably due to the fact that the image was a png file with transparency; Lulu warns that transparency can cause problems in the printing. I will try to think of the best way to remedy this before I release the book for sale. And speaking of release…

At this point, I can confidently say that the release date for Tristaria Volume 1: Of Palantaros will be Monday, February 1! I think that this date will give me ample time to read the copy I have and correct any other errors I may come across. In any case, there will be more updates before the release date, so stay tuned!😊
