Today’s Daily Heroine is: Ta’Ra (played by the beautiful Maryam d’Abo), from the American sci-fi crime drama Something Is Out There, which was first broadcast in 1988. Ta’Ra is an alien girl hunting down a murderous alien on Earth, with the aid of a human police officer named Jack Breslin (played by Joseph Cortese). I’ve always had a thing for “alien” girls (even though they usually look pretty much like Earth girls) and I guess that was the main reason I became interested in Something Is Out There, when it was on TV. Of course, the scene in which Ms d’Abo appears with only a towel draped over her body might also have been a factor. Incidentally, Ms d’Abo is probably best known for being the Bond girl in the 1987 Bond film, The Living Daylights.
I’m always on the look out for new interesting and likeable heroines, so if you have a particular favourite, please tell me about her! Till tomorrow, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you.😊
