Today’s Daily Heroine is: Lieutenant Gay Ellis (played by the gorgeous Gabrielle Drake) from UFO, a British sci-fi TV show from the 70s, created by the great Gerry Anderson (the creator of The Thunderbirds). She is a senior Moonbase operative in SHADO, a secret organisation employing countermeasures against mysterious aliens. As a kid, I was a big fan of The Thunderbirds, and also another Gerry Anderson TV show by the name of Space:1999. I liked them because they had really cool spaceships. UFO, on the other hand, is a bit lacking in that area (which may be why I hardly ever recall watching it growing up). But what it lacks in spaceships, it more than makes up for in lovely ladies. And in my opinion, Gay Ellis is the loveliest.😄
