Just a couple of weeks ago, I had a discussion with someone about favourite music videos. I made the comment that I thought it’d be easy to come up with at least a top five list. And then I only managed to list four.😅 However, now I’ve found a music video that completes my list: Coldplay’s Daddy.
Daddy, which was released only a few days ago on November 20, is a quiet ballad sung from the viewpoint of a young child longing for an absent father, and the music video for it was produced by Aardman Animations, of Wallace & Gromit fame. Although the imagery of the music video is, as you would expect, very cute, the mood is quite sombre, which matches the mood of the song perfectly.
I have to say that I find watching this music video very moving, and I’ve watched it several times already. I think it is an absolutely amazing piece of art. I highly recommend it! Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!😊
