Last year, the day for the release of a heap of The Force Awakens goodies was dubbed “Force Friday”. It was a big deal, with the live-streamed unboxing of TFA merchandise taking place in several cities around the world. This year, though, the day for the release of the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story goodies (which is today) doesn’t seem to have the same level of hype surrounding it. For starters, it doesn’t even seem to have it’s own official name! Nevertheless, I’ve decided to commemorate today with this little photo manipulation.
It’s just a montage of footage from the RO trailer, plus some graphics I took from Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (which is a great old Star Wars game, by the way). I’m sure I’m not the only one who thought this part of the trailer looked very videogame-like.😆
Last year, I practically rushed out to buy the TFA Lego set of Rey’s speeder, because I really wanted a minifigure of Rey. This year, however, I won’t be doing the same to get a minifigure of Jyn Erso, even though I really want one of her as well. This is because the only Lego set that she appears in is the impressive but expensive U-wing set. I’m hoping that there will be another, more reasonably-priced set with Jyn in it in the second wave of RO Lego sets (if there is a second wave, of course).
Till next time, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!
