The fourth part of the episodical adventure game Life Is Strange, by Dontnod Entertainment, has just been announced for release on the 28th of July! The title for it is Dark Room. Spooky!
I haven’t posted anything about LIS before, but I’ve been playing it from the day Episode 1, Chrysalis, was released way back in January. It’s basically an interactive teen sci-fi drama. You control a young photography student named Maxine (Max for short) Caulfield, who suddenly discovers she has the ability to rewind time and, as a result, alter it. However, she also becomes aware of some seemingly sinister goings-on around her and, on top of all that, she has visions of an impending disaster that is going to hit her hometown of Arcadia Bay…
If all this sounds exciting, it certainly has been so far! LIS is by no means a perfect game, but it is a lot of fun and it’s available on multiple platforms. Plus, you can buy the first episode on its own if you want to get an idea of what the game is like. I highly recommend it!
All right, so back to episode 4. Here is the trailer for it:
For those of you who are playing it, what do you think of this trailer? I’m intrigued by the seemingly deserted world Max finds herself in. I love stories set in deserted worlds! But I notice a conspicuous lack of Chloe in the trailer (which is a good thing, if you ask me), or maybe I just didn’t notice she was in it, as at this point I’ve only watched it once.
I’ll write more on LIS once I’ve played through Episode 4. But for now, au revoir, arrivederci and may the force be with you!
